Adult Softball League

NEW for 2025 Season!!

  • Teams/players will be able to choose between the “Recreational Division” (for those who want a bit more of a relaxed playing environment) or the “Upper Division” (for those who want a more competitive playing environment). 
  • All games will be at BankFirst Yards using a Rawlings “Sof-Dot” ball
  • All teams are asked to provide a squad of 3 individuals to train and serve as league officials. These officiating teams will NOT officiate their own team or teams in their own division. Officials will be paid according to league scale. 

REGISTRATION METHOD & RULES (Please Read Before Registering)

*Registration is done by individual players rather than by teams. All players must be 18 years of age on July 1st to register. All registration is done online.

*Players may register as individual players or with a team that is planning to form. The registration process will allow players to indicate the team they are joining (if any). Teams must have 11 players to “make”. Rosters are capped at 20 players. If a team has fewer than the required number, it can combine with another team that is also short of the required number.

*Players registering as individuals will be placed on teams with available roster space. 

*All players (regardless of registering as individuals or with a team) must be an active member of a church or recognized community organization (examples include Kiwanis Club, Columbus-Lowndes Humane Society, etc.). This must be indicated during the registration process and LCR must be authorized to validate membership).

*Registration fee is $30 and covers all fees related to games. It DOES NOT cover uniforms, personal items such as mitts and bats, and practice equipment (including balls).

GAMES & ROSTERS: It is anticipated that games will begin July 28rd. Rosters will be supplied by LCR. All teams must have a copy of their roster at the field. Unregistered players are not allowed to play in the league under any circumstance. Playing an unregistered player will result in a forfeit.

CAPTAINS: All teams must have a designated captain. The captain will be the point person for communication. The captain or other team rep must be present at the mandatory league meeting Monday July 14th at 6pm via Zoom.
